Re: What Editing Software do you Use?

Sony Vegas 9: Simple to edit with, but is getting kinda on my nerve lately with it crashing and sometimes not wanting to render...

Adobe After Effects: Handy for digital stuff and DVD making

MonkeyJam: An animators best friend, it's very animate friendly but lacks special options like Onion skin and or filming at the highest resolution possible, but really great to edit your animation while animating.

PhotoShop and Illustrator CS4: Pretty great to design posters and illustrations for your film

Audacity: Great to record and edit your audio files with.

Re: What Editing Software do you Use?

Pinnacle Studio 11: It does your basic stuff fine...but its no real improvement from Windows Movie Maker, just less n00bish. Your better off with Sony Vegas or something.

Stop Motion Pro v5: I'm using the most basic package. It does its job, and it does it pretty well. It compresses playback, but its fine once rendered. It also has Onion Skin and Audio Synch, which are two invaluable features to have. However, it does have problems picking up my old JVC camera, but that's probably the cameras fault.

Audacity: Possibly the best free audio recorder, although its recently had a knack of crashing for no apparent reason. Could just be my version....

GIMP: A free image editor that I have no idea how to use, but what I can do on it is pretty awesome. Its free, so you cant go wrong, and there are several handy tutorials online.

Paint: I occasionally use this for masking, since I dont know how to mask on GIMP (yet...) Its simple enough, and with most computers you dont even have to install it, so no loss....

SUPER: A free compressor that mostly compresses well without a watermark (which is always a bonus). However, it refuses to work with me whenever there is a new version available......hmmmm.......

Finale Notepad: Its not bad, but it only exports to MIDI, so unless you have some kind of converter its useless for Brickfilming.

Final Cut Studio (Final Cut / Color / Motion / DVD Studio)
Photoshop CS3
(Haven't framegrabbed yet; still looking)

Re: What Editing Software do you Use?

Sony Vegas for editing

I normally used to use AnimatorDV Simple for animation however it doesnt work on 64x systems. The versions that do work on 64x systems cost money so that's bang out of the question. I have a copy of Toonboom a 2D animation program however it does have a utility for taking pictures in the same way stop motion does so I may see how good it is for stop-motion.

Re: What Editing Software do you Use?

-MonkeyJam + Stop Motion Animator
-Windows Movie Maker + AVS Video Editor 4
-GIMP 2.6
-CineGobs Keyer
-Sound Recorder

AVS is awesome mini/bigsmile !
