It's ridiculously busy, you might want to play with the focus to show the viewer the main feature of the shot.
I figured I should do that. I was going to redo that part anyway.
Nobody going to critique me? I should maybe make rules for this thread...this seems to be happening quite a lot now.

Your picture is out of focus. If there is a purpose to that, you have posted it out of context and I can't tell you if it was effective or not. I know you started this thread, but shouldn't this be more for sneak peaks? If you get a lot of responses, you know you have a good frame and possibly a good film. If you get no feedback you might want to consider that.
Anyways, I've got a quick project in the works while I wait for some stuff on my western:
that castle is sick, when's the release?
Really nice models and I actually kinda like the grainy look. Is it going to be completely cg?
Sorry, but how did you make it more grainy to save all that time? I would like to know so that I might be able to speed up my renders.
Well there are two "effects" on the render that add to a grainy look, only one effect helps save time. One effect is an image overlay. I'm not sure how good it looks when the camera is in motion, but I like it when the camera is not in motion so I think I'll keep it. The second effect is I've reduced the ambient occlusion samples from 10 to 5. This adds another grainy look, but it only looks good if the first effect is being used as it becomes less obvious and adds to the effect.
Is it going to be completely cg?
Yes.
just realized that castle is cg... not as excited to see the film anymore!

But dude, if the castle is so realistic you didn't even realize it was CG, why wouldn't you want to see it, I prefer stop motion as much as the next guy, but this guy has some serious skill.
Frame from T. A. L. E. my Avant Garde entry.
kinda grainy filmyguy - purpose?
and youre right i just WISH someone built that castle for real - I'm thinking about a medieval film after my egyptian one.
Must see.
