Sounds interesting enough. If they can pull it off nicely, I'd be willing to go see it. I question the mixture of live action and LEGO animation, and I also question whether or not they will be CG or physical LEGO bricks, but I suppose we'll see. ![]()
wow, finally someone is making a LEGO movie. This should be interesting. ![]()
I would definitely be interested in seeing this in the theaters if they actually follow through.
I would definitely pay to see a full length LEGO film. Animated films are my favorite (why shouldn't they be
)
I'd be more impressed if they were doing stop-motion.
I agree Legobrickstud. Last night I watched Wallace and Gromit The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. The animation they did for that film amazes me!
Yeah, if this was in stop motion I would run down my street screaming with delight....

is it stop motion or not?
Btw, it looks interesting.
im glad its not stop motion so that one of us can make the first!

It says "animation" so I'm not quite sure they mean 3d animation. It still could very well be stop motion animation.
its from the makers of cloudy with a chance of meatballs - cg.

Oh, hehe, I forgot about that. ![]()

LEGO already have a CGI movie, so I doubt they would make a huge fuss over another completely unrelated one.
The article mentions the creators 'putting together mountains of small components', so I'd imagine it's stop-motion.
Cloudy was awesome. Making a movie about LEGO is ambitious for anyone though. I mean, thousands of young kids could be interested and think at the end "Aww, there were no bionicles" or "What!?!? there's so much that could have been put in". This is probably putting the people working on the film under pressure, but it may be that they just do it and hope for good. Let's wait and see!
There better not be any Bionicles. I HATE those things, granted I used to love them when I was like 6. They just aren't real LEGO-ish type things, LEGO has to be interlocking bricks (and the slight variations of that).
IMHO I don't want to see this movie if it's not stop-motion, which I know it wont be. There is just something about CGI bricks that screams ''IT"S GONNA BE A 2 HOUR LONG COMMERCIAL?!?!?!''.

Oooh, that sounds promising. ![]()
Extremely excited for this. Can't wait. ![]()

I don't see how that choice of words (a play on the basic idea of playing with LEGO) suggests stop motion. Clutch Powers was just a direct-to-DVD release based around a character, as opposed to LEGO on the whole; I'd be pretty surprised, though pleasantly surprised, if this ended up being stop motion and not computer animation.
I bet you this will become a failure. Unless its stop motion I really, really dont think this is a good idea. I think a lego film should be left alone unless its animation and all animation...
