First set I have consience memory of getting:
Still have all the minifugres, and the plants have infested my lego bin. Lost the clam and the ships though T_T

All the pieces were in a lego-bin i got at a garage sale, and when I noticed them I downloaded the instructions.
We are not sure what was the first LEGO set we got, but it was probably one of these:

not quite sure. but I remember this: 
I got it on haloween. it was the day my parents have a fight to 
My first one was a box of duplo lego's. My first set which looked like something was the apple tree-house!:o
My One was The Battle Of Endor Set 
I got a Bob the Builder Duplo set. I was a Bob the Builder freak 
Mine was a Mars Mission Rover from 2007.But it's not intact any more 
I was about 4 when I first got into LEGO. One of my first big sets was one of the old aqua raiders sets.
I inherited some Arctic sets, then at about 5 onwards I still am in to Lego.

It was in 1989 or 1990 and some relitive mailed my brother and I a small box of LEGO (a packaged box) it had 1 minifig and one of those thick green plates in it, I lived in Connecticut at the time. Soon afterwards we got a few of those plastic tubs, we just wanted bricks at first.
I think the first big set we got was this:
I rebult that about a year ago, I still have the instructions floating around.
The first one I got was a little police car I got at a Shell gas station.
I had got a Mars Misson set can't remember witch one thoguh
I have been colecting for my hole life. even before when i was born i was bought a big box of duplo. You can probaly just see some things i have been colecting
I broke it. but I still have the chasssiss of the car.
When I was a kid I was always confused by people who never took there LEGO sets apart.
I'm with you there Sloth, My dad insisted I kept one together, it didn't last a month before I didn't care and demolished it.
