I thought I might just throw this out here, but Australia now has it's first female Prime Minister.
http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010 ?site=news
Basically what happened was;
(2007) The Labor Party, lead by Kevin Rudd, wins government.
(2010) The Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, introduced policies and plans which prove to be unpopular.
The Cabinet & Caucus (The entire Labor Party) are pissed off with the Rudd. He's not taking advice on his plans and is spearheading his election campaign into the ground.
Speculation arises that Deputy PM, Julia Gillard will take his place.\
Popularity for Julia Gillard rises within the Party until she is almost pushed into contesting the party leadership.
By the point the vote for the leadership arrives, it's clear Rudd will lose his position, and so he decides to stand down, leaving Gillard uncontested. And now she is the new PM.
Just incase anyone was wondering.

Female prime ministers haven't worked out that well here. But if your labour party is still similar to ours then I'm shore you wont have the same problems as the UK did. But just to be safe, if she starts thinking she's the queen and using the 'royal we' then it's time to get rid of her.
mini/dizzy What's up with all these greyscale cat avatars? I can't even tell one apart from another. I mean, you actually have to read their username rather than just look at the avatar.
They're characters from the Lackadaisy webcomic. Everyone is showing their appreciation for fine art. ![]()
I'm sticking to the bright, colourful, and campy Batman. And no, I dont think I'm ever going to change this Avatar unless something else just as awesome turns up....which is impossible since nothing in this universe is as awesome as 1960's Batman.

Yeah, all ONE of them. You cant really judge the success of female Prime Ministers with just one example....
