The best tip I can give you right now skwizitanee, I think is not to try and "whip one up". Sit back with a pencil and sketch some ideas. Put some thought into it. Perhaps even *gasp* do some research on logo design.

That's really neat, but if I'm gonna be nitpicky, then I'm afraid I've gotta point out that the middle 1x1 should have a solid stud, rather than a hollow one.

There was much copypasta involved in the creation as you can imagine. Mainly made in Paint, the gradients were added later in GIMP.
This really wasn't meant to be a logo or anything, I was just screwing around making stuff for my blog. It's just another form of my logo (inside the creature's mouth), I guess.

You logo is awesome JK, but the D's look an awful lot like O's. We recommend making them taller. But other than that, it's awesome.
The lighting looks yellow. Did you use just white paper in the background? If so, you could try a white expanse.
I think that's what he was trying to do.
