Hey guys, I need some help. After much trial and error, I still haven't managed to design the surface of a planet. I don't need an image of a planet, I just need the surface, like craters and things. It's for an After Effects CGI project I'm working on.

You will find there links to some surfaces. May be its something like that what you are looking for.
Matte painting would work I think.
