By installing the software and plugging the camera in through the USB drive.
Yes, I know that but what is the best software and mounting etc?
to mount the camera, use a Lego cage, I know there is a link, but I feel lazy right now.
Software, any stop motion software, try Monkeyjam, you can find that link in the free software list.
Okay then Also how shoul i mount the D60 as I cant find a good lego cage?
Desparate times call for desparate measures. If you can't find instructions, you're going to have to make one.

What sort of things should I make it from?
LEGO, possibly LEGO Technic. Whatever you can make that's sturdy.

The D60 doesn't support live view with any software that i've seen
Also a tripod should solve you other dilemma
