Fair point. I pretty much made it up as I went, and it ended up being more of a short skit than a technique showcase.

Masking didn't work well, the light difference was too great. I uploaded an unmasked version.

They cut off the last half second.
Can anyone post a masking tutorial? I need to learn this stuff

I laughed, NXT.
I thought that was great. Worthy of 1st place even without the masking.
Bravo.
Haha! So I guess I'm not the only one with masking problems! It makes me wonder........hey, Bricklord, is masking required? Or is it strictly animation?
My guess is since this is an animation challenge, not just a smoothness challenge, it would probably have to be masked. While I don't decide this or have any weight in the decision, my view of this is that you wouldn't use the unmasked footage in a real movie, and getting the masking right is a key part of making an animation look believable and realistic.

Just the animation of the specific move is required. Any other efforts are your choice.
Your entry was pretty smooth, NXT, I would too like it masked though. But I have to say, it was similar to mine in the way of where you moved and placed the camera in those two shots. I liked it, it just kind a creeps me out that you would film it similarly.
hehe, I guess they are similar, though there isn't a whole lotta shots you could do with this challenge.
Tell me about it.
