I plan on buying a MacBook and a Quickcam 9000 Pro for MacBook and i was wondering if there are any programs out there for editing that will work with Apple products...
Hmm, there is that list full of free software..... BUT I'll spare you... For Mac you want to get iStopmotion and Final Cut Express for your movie making. I've heard Dewfilms has had sucess with a PC Qck 9000 without installing drivers into Mac. But many peeps says it doesnt work. Since you already have a 9000 try it when you get the Mac WITHOUT installing drivers. Other than final Cut express, thats your best bet on mac editing software.

No manual focus. 
It would be a lot cheaper to buy a PC instead of a MacBook not to mention that it would be a ton more powerful. But if you are a Mac user and insist on a Mac, I would recommend buying a used Canon A85 or A95. The quality would be far superior to the 9K and it would be much cheaper.

Well, webcams are generally easier to use for beginners because you can instantly see your animation and adjust quickly

You can do the same thing through any Canon that supports remote capture too.
