I've been hearing rumours about England flags and shirts being banned in pubs, so not to offend the few immigrants who think its still Poland or India and forget there in England. Turns out there's not a ban but just a warning about putting up flags in certain areas. There's some information here. Personally I think its wrong to even say that pubs shouldn't put flags up. This is the UK for gods sake we have every culture in this country and it is illegal to discriminate against any of them, so why then is it legal to discriminate against the English? No one would ban Scottish flags in Scotland, or Welsh flags in Wales. No one would say 'no turbans' or 'no skull caps' but is fine to say 'no England flags'. More and more I see England becoming a foreign country within the UK, and it takes each world cup to make this more apparent. (I would like to say I have nothing against immigrants so long as your here legally, just please respect my culture as I do yours.)

They did, in half-time of the Champions League Final, well, here in the Netherlands.
I guess it wouldn't be on all the time in full length becuase it would cost a truckload of cash to pay for regular 3 minute TV spots.
I assume it was made to be slit into different ads. I've seen bits of it on TV but its much better in full.
My prediction is that England beats the USA something like 5-1.
Then We beat Algeria 6-0.
And finally Slovenia gets a bit lucky and only looses 7-2.
I think Argentina is going to try to make an example of us this year. You know with all this Falkland oil stuff going on, they know they cant beat the UK at war so they go for the second best thing and try to beat England at football. I feel like there's going to be a lot of national pride involved with that game. It will be the one to watch.

Anyways, what a strike today from that South African! My goodness, I thought they would pull out the win after I saw that. Too bad they forgot how to defend on that Mexico goal.
I'm pumped to see USA vs England Saturday, should be a cracker of a match. I can't see it being a rout, should be a close game and USA has a very good chance.
I can't wait to get to the pub tomorrow night and watch the match. The atmosphere will be immense!

You know its true. Anyway its football, politics always gets mixed up in it. If you want to see bigoted look up the story from 4 years ago when a Scottish man beat up a father and son because they were wearing England shirts. That was taking it to far.
