Topic: Flintlock guns firing?
Does anyone have ideas on how to do this? Its different from normal muzzle flashes as there is a ton of smoke and fire comes from the lock as well as the muzzle. I have Sony Vegas 8 and Gimp.

I would recommend heading to detonationfilms.com and downloading a free gun flash effect. Tutorials on how to integrate them in your film are also on the site.
