Doctor Who is aimed at children.
Argument over.
He was being serious with the whole sex with Amy argument
I've got to stop coming to this topic.
I'm not serious about the sex, I would however like to see a bit of violence.
Edit: the reason I have such a problem with the new series is because I was a massive Torchwood fan and I feel anger towards doctor who because its gone. I have really been enjoying the new doctor whos its just a disappointment there not as good as Torchwood was.

Terry Pratchett has some interesting words to say on Doctor Who.
I like what that guy has to say to an extent, but, I don't mind breaking the laws of physics, as long as they don't say in one epsode "They're only stone when you see them", and then in the next eosiode, you see them moving. As stone.
Seriously, WTF?
I wish I could blog like Terry Pratchett.
And I agree with Brickyman.....I still don't get how the Angels are still being stone when they are moving fluently. I know I keep repeating it, but it seems only me and Bricky don't get this. The only explanation is that the angels are not made of stone when they move....but why do they look exactly like they are made of stone? Thats the kind of thing Ed Wood would do! WHY MOFFATT?? WHY?!?! WHY DO THEY MOVE WHEN THEY ARE STILL MADE OF STONE!!!! AM I GETTING THROUGH TO ANYONE HERE!?!?

I have, sadly, never seen a single episode. How I wish I had cable . . . . . . . . . . ![]()
AAARRRGGGHHHH!! I MISSED DOCTOR WHO AGAIN!!
Why does the start time have to change every week? And why is it so obscure? Since the dawn of time Doctor Who has been on a 7 O Clock. I don't care about 'Over the Rainbow'....GIVE ME DALEKS NOT DOROTHY!!

Lol...

I missed it too but in all honesty this episode didn't look that attractive to me.
Recording stopped with a few minutes to spare...
It seemed that this episode was rather sloppily made.
last episode sucked.
Gimme Daleks.
I just watch it on BBC three sunday night. I don't understand why the BBC are trying to compete with my mums roast dinner. But anyway that episode was a let down, the director should be ashamed, as should the CGI people. The story seemed like it had been used before, the cinematography and CGI were not up to the normal standards and when the doctor climbs the rope at the end he was clearly on a harness in front of a green screen. It just didn't look right. But next weeks looks good, it looks as though it will be the next 'family of blood' style episode. I also hope its slower the the other episodes from this series, I much prefer a slower story that builds an atmosphere and develops good characters.
I thought it was quite good. The writers managed to make all the characteristics of vampires fit in with all the alien stuff - reminded me of the Russel T. Davies days.
If you missed it, the main overall plot developments were that Amy loves her fiance again and the cracks are getting closer/more powerful/more frequent.
The episode before last was OK. CGI sucked though (you would think one of BBC's most watched programmes would have better effects than 'Primeval' - remember that show?) But give the writers credit - they DID portray Vampires well (*cough*Twilight*cough*), despite them technically not being Vampires, and the story was pretty good. But it is a filler, and not the best.
This episode had holes, but if these were fixed it could have been the best so far. I still don't really get how the Doctor suddenly realised both scenarios were dreams, how did he suddenly decide after all that? And why did the annoying man leave them if they were still in a dream? What would happen if they still kept going in the dream?
And I hated the ending- the Doctor just suddenly turns round and says "Oh, their both dreams". After all the suspense (which was great writing) it turns out that if they choose wrong it wouldn't have mattered anyway! Really cheap cop-out. like if the Daleks had a giant off-switch, or if the Stone Angels moved painfully slow - OH WAIT!!
It seems good endings are dead. Last episode ended with the Doctor pressing a button, before it was plugging something in, before that was flicking a switch....what happened to climax? These solutions are just far too easy. Its like in Series 2 Episode 3 when Mickey stops the children from cracking the code to the universe by just unplugging the computers - only that was hilarious.
Urgh.....

I agree.
And since when is Matt Smith a "tall handsome hero"?
Urm.. No..
I've seen him as a crazy scientist with a bad hair do. ![]()
Meh, last episode wasn't bad. But two things:
1. Why is it that the old lady from the 'Kumars' can easily pull a fat old man out of the sucking ground when the fit able bodied doctor cant pull out a thin female? It makes no sense whatsoever. The Doctor is just like "Hold my hand Amy!" instead of....you know....PULLING!! Why is our hero and role model such an idiot? And this is just a minor complaint but.....why does a young couple with a small child carry around a shotgun and a pair of handcuffs? The shotgun I am willing to just go along with since I have no idea how life in the country works, but handcuffs? Do any of you guys have real metal handcuffs in your house?
2. Are you meaning to say that this is our 'epic' two-parter? A Humanoid lizard/ragnoss-headed/kind-of-cool-looking-but-not-threatening-in-any-way civilisation that lives underground? You choose Stone Angels (who I never wanted to see again because they were TOO good) and these things over Daleks and last episodes concept - which is the most original since 'Blink'?
Urgh.....
