I actually like the idea of a THAC in summer, it seems like it would be a more compatible time for a lot of
folks who have a busy school schedule, myself included.
For me, THAC in july, fine. But june is impossible for me since I have exams that month.
Just gotta say that your system for results kinda sucked.

okay, maybe i am completely out of the loop and stuff but when is the next thac? is it going to be this summer like this discussion seems to suggest? sorry if this is common knowledge but i have been uncommonly busy...a gracious response would be very nice

We hadn't really decided yet. There was a notion of moving it to summer, but then there's the concern that it becomes a distraction from the summer contest. I'm really starting to lean toward not moving it, after all, so that we can have one big summer contest and one big winter contest.

well on the island of Great Britain we don't get sun very much, so if this was on on a sunny day no one from UK are going to enter they would all be to busy sitting in the garden to make a film. just thought I would put this forward.
Smeagol, I'd actually prefer two Thac's a year, as it'll give brickfilmers more opportunities. I, for one, wasn't able to participate in the seventh and I, frankly, am so impatient I may cause a temporal loop in the fabric of space and time if I have to wait another year before another's released.:mad:
Two thacs would be nice, perhaps starting at different times so that people in other parts of the world aren't disadvantaged.
People will easily get tired of THAC if it's 2 times a year.
Not necessarily. People don't have to enter both (or any of them). So if you just want it once, you enter once.
It would sort of ruin the novelty of THAC though, being that everyone looks forward all year long to this event. It would almost be like "too much of a good thing." Also, who would be paying for all the prizes? Having two competitions per year means 6 LEGO sets that someone has to buy! We, for two, personally think it would be better just to keep it at once a year.
Same person doesn't have to buy prizes both times.

Well for people like me who didn't know when it was until late on the 3rd, it would be cool to have a second chance.
