Topic: Decent yet cheap video camera?

I'm looking into and savin my moneez for a new camera, perticularly a video camera. I know hazzat, mindgame, and many other people use video cameras, so I thought that they would be a good choice. Well, I'm not willing to pay over hundreds of dollars (hmmm... over 200 sounds too high) but I don't want to by something cheap and then the quality suck. I need something cheap yet decent. And recommendations?

Re: Decent yet cheap video camera?

A video camera that isn't above $200 is going to look pretty bad. I would recommend either saving for a decent video camera, or buying a still camera.

The QC9000, though a webcam, is only $99, and has incredible quality. It's probably not what you're looking for.

Re: Decent yet cheap video camera?

I use the QC4000, and I was actually looking into the 9000. Do you know any videos that used the 9000?

This is also another good example of the QC9000's abilities.

Moronic is prettier.

It's difficult to get such good quality out of the 9000, but if you can it's perfect. I never quite managed it, as seen in my half of Hobo's Delight and the opening scenes of Killing Mr Twomey.

Re: Decent yet cheap video camera?

Your local hardware/home furnishings store will have lamps.

But it's really more about the bulbs.

Re: Decent yet cheap video camera?

What bulbs would you reccomend?

Re: Decent yet cheap video camera?

yeah. What bricky said

Re: Decent yet cheap video camera?

try to get those plant growing bulbs. They produce natural light, a good light to have if you wish to make your films realistic. I would shop at a hardware store for these.

i.e. Florescent lights.

Re: Decent yet cheap video camera?

um, no. I use to use one, but my first film came out and everyone hated that lighting. I use a florescent bulb for night scenes because the light they give off is a sharp blue. I use this.
