We were considering purchasing EffectsLab Pro, and we were wondering if anyone here either recommends it or uses it.

It would be, but for that price you would only consider it if either your a professional animator or if you also do life action film making. It is an amazing piece of software, so, if you have the money and are willing to spend it then go right ahead.

It is not that expensive as all that. I spent 3x that much money on my editing software and EffectsLab Pro is well worth the money.
I just got it yesterday, along with Sony Vegas Platinum Edition. It was part of the "Sci-Fi Movie Kit" for 140 pounds (sorry, I don't have the Sterling symbol on my keyboard). It's extremely good.
