Re: Too many to find...

MonkeyJam, you can find a link in the Free software list.

Re: Too many to find...

I have to lol at this.... (sorry) But you could have done a google search. Or looked at FAQs of animators. I mean seriously. As realbrick said use MJ or heliumfrog. If you have 70-140$ in hand though i suggest SMP7

Re: Too many to find...

This site needs to have a reform on the way it treats new members. The only reason I've actually stayed apart of the brickfilming community was becuase BF.com used to be so much more welcoming and accesible to younger members. Telling someone just to go google something isn't really good enough.

Anyway, I used to use Monkeyjam and I thought it was fantastic, it's free and you can find it here.

It has a bit of a learning curb, but once you get the hang of it, it's a great piece of software. If you have any questions just PM me or come back and post a question here, hopefully someone won't snub you and direct you to google.

Next time you're looking for free software check out the Free Software List
And any other questions like this should probably go in the Software and Hardware forum

Well, which is it? Are you looking for a stop-motion program or an editing program? Because both WMM and Sony Vegas aren't made for the actual process of capturing frames for stop-motion animation, they're video editors.

Re: Too many to find...

MindGame has a very good point but if you need a new editor program check out this forum http://www.bricksinmotion.com/forums/to … ware-list/ and read your sentence before you post so we can understand fully and welcome to the site

Re: Too many to find...

You can animate with WMM though. I agree that it is an editor, but if you compile frames taken on another device and make them as short as possible it'll run at 15fps just as well as MonkeyJam can. Trouble is, it's a pain the the backside. I used to do it and look at all my frames saying "Oh goodness, I'm here for a while!" Then I was introduced to the wonders of MonkeyJam! (I almost typo'd MonkeyHam there) Made my life much easier.

I thought he would have looked at the forum a bit and there are many discussions on it. Sorry for being a bit mean to the new guy.
