Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

We need to stop the seasonal themes. Seriously. The animation challenge is taking over.

HECK YEAH BABY

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Ok I sucked, Filmyguy is a definite win

It isn't, really. They're quite different.

But a string of bad themes has led to low numbers of entries. They need to be more open in the future.

I think Vik is gonna win.

Used to be 'Caidence'

Really? A cross in front of a green screen? Not too much effort there. I don't think this post offends Vol because he's making it seem like it.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Yeah It doesn't offend me cause I sucked, and I'm not Vol Spalsh mini/tongue

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Any more entries before I wrap this up?

I apologise for the theme, but I rather thought "Easter" was a lot broader than "St. Patricks day", given it has many aspects. I wasn't going to go with a seasonal theme but I thought given Easter only comes around once a year I may as well put it out there. Just be grateful we haven't had an "April fools day" theme.

Anyway, I don't see how the animation challenge has taken over. They're quite different, and both have their place.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Dude?

Go Forth & Create!

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Oh gawd, sorry about the lack of judging, I was wondering if Motion Studios was going to enter, but it seems he isn't.

Anyway, on with the judging:

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p84/UberSocks/49.gif 1) filmyguy No surprises here, the shot was well lit and framed, and the idea was perfect. I love it as usual

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p84/UberSocks/50.gif 2) PJ_pund A very nice shot, of a much higher quality than some of your previous entries. It really captures the feeling of the easter egg hunt

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p84/UberSocks/51.gif 3) vik I quite like it, but I marked it down a little for the lack of very much LEGO, though it was mostly greenscreened well and you chose a fitting background

Runner ups:

Splash Studios Some nice ideas here, though the effect in the first image wasn't very well executed and the second tried to convey a dark feeling, but the colours weren't fitting, it looks like you went for a low-lit set rather than a well lit one with less exposure/gain, which probably would've worked better

Ark11 Good to see an original idea, but the egg hardly looks like an egg, more like a disco ball.

Kinzcove Hmmm.. To be honest, the shot's very poorly lit and the camera's badly placed. It's just boring. I like the mushroom though!

Bloonmation Nice, but as you said, the pile needs some work, and looks unnatural. Could also do with a bit of cropping

I think that's it... Take it away, filmyguy!

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Hopefully filmyguy has a good theme

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Awesomesauce. Alright, this challenge needs kind of a jump start so I'll have to think about this one.
Theme coming shortly.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

How's this theme sound, guys?

Theme: Travel

With this theme you can have a minifigure (or many minifigures) walking through deserts or snowstorms etc, no limits to where you can him/them. Just make sure you get the feeling of travel in your frame. Let's see some entries, guys.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

mini/bigsmile  I might enter this.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

lol, asdfmovie2 mini/tongue

I might enter, it's been a super-de-duper-looper-super-duper-ultra-mega long time.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Coome on, guys. Give me some entries.
