How long should it be
It dosen't matter. Just long enough for the idea to be conveyed without words I guess, but you can make it however long you want.
Duh! We're not talking about live action. He has to make the minifigs "talk" without sound.

Looks great, but the wall jumps up a bit when you first see the car.
that car stayed awfully well intact after an impact like that.

Just Kidden, I challenge you to make a short animation with minifigs interacting with actual pieces of fruit.
That means no bananas! They're herbs.
