Topic: Why Did you start Brickfilming

I just want to know what started you brickfilming.  Was it a friend, or something you watched or something else??
Also, how did you learn about stopmotion animation, and did that and a love of lego become brickfilming??

Important questions!!

I started brickfilming when I saw the stopmotion contest on lego.com for star wars lego.

Re: Why Did you start Brickfilming

I saw some videos on lego.com and I felt a great need to stop motion.
so much, in fact, I bought a $70 kit that came with a useless book, a crappy camera, and a bunch of free software, including an outdated version of virtual dub.

Anyways, I started brickfilming last Summer. Because I saw how to do stop-motion, and I had buckets and buckets and boxes full of LEGO. I though LEGO was a pretty good animating object, and yeah, that's how I got into brickfilming.

Re: Why Did you start Brickfilming

One day in late '07, I was languishing in a bar when a strange man in sunglasses and a black suit tapped me on the shoulder, handed me a business card, and disappeared out the door. The card read: Brickfilms.com.

Since the brickfilming thing didn't work out they've been after me, and I'm now on the run. The whole "living in Ireland" thing is a ruse. I currently reside in an underground bunker filled with some broken webcams and several storage rooms full of Lego.

Re: Why Did you start Brickfilming

After I saw the lego film on the Monty Python and the Holy Grail DVD, my interest in brickfilming was born. I discussed this interest with one of my friends who mentioned Brickfilms.com. I used to frequently check the site, eagerly waiting new videos.

Re: Why Did you start Brickfilming

Quite a few years ago (about seven or so), my brothers' and their friend started making Star Wars brickfilms.  Then after helping them, I began creating short LEGO films using a video camera.  I still have most of them, I think.  They were pretty bad (I should post them on youtube and see how many views I can get mini/tongue).  Ever since I saw some brickfilms that had won movie contests, I've wanted to do what they did.  For about a year know I've slowly been animating and doing more serious films than the choppy videos I use to make.  I found this site when I was googling for information on how to make brickfilms.  I think I've latched on to brickfilming because I am able to create cool stories with cool music.  The End mini/smile

Re: Why Did you start Brickfilming

I was obsessed with Lego when I was younger.
So it just kind of transferred over into my teenage years when I was trying to figure out what to do with the boxes of Lego I owned.

The Han Solo Affair started my affair with brickfilming. Even though I had a indescribable appetite for lego, mini/shifty I was urged to film.
