Re: camera quality

May we see a picture, please?

Check the exposure. If it's too bright, you will lose quality. Try to turn it a little down, and see if it helps.

well here is my youtube for an example: http://www.youtube.com/user/NFfilmz?feature=mhw5
i know about exposure and white balance and what not but still i am not very happy with my quality.
i would like to get a picture like screaming tantrum since we both use the same camera, im not sure if it has to do with the settings i use or my lighting setup, i use 1 halogen lamp and 1 fluorescent lamp.

Re: camera quality

I see.
The lamps can be a great factor too. How many lamps do you use? Less than 1 will not give the quality you want. When you install the second lamp, be sure to check the exposure, if it's not on manual.
And do not light the set directly with your lamps. Use a paper to cover the lamp. (If your lamp gets hot, do not cover it with paper.)

If this doesn't seem to work, then you have to check, that your lense isn't dirty. Use some lense cleaner for it.
And tweak the settings on the camera, if you haven't already.

Edit:Oh, whoops. Didn't see your post at first. mini/tongue
And yes, you have to get more than one lamp. One lamp will never give you the quality you seek.
Edit Again: That post keeps messing with me... I really don't know if it's a good idea to mix lamps, but in my opinion; you should use the same type of lamp, if they doesn't give the same colour.

Re: camera quality

Re: camera quality

Good question.
Again, I don't know; but use the one, you think is best.

Re: camera quality

Halogen gives off finer and more even light then fluoroscent( I don't have one yet sadly mini/sad ) and fluorescent bulbs require a big sturdy lamp usually. I have a clamp one and don't like it very much. Halogen lives longer and is much brighter too. Go with halogen. Careful though, these might get pretty hot.

PS- look into LEDs too, I have heard they last the longest, give off the best light, and don't get hot mini/bigsmile
