A webcam will do fine. I recommend this.

CapedKid, can I ask you a nice little question. WHY? Why do you need a better webcam if you already have a 9000? I didn't even saw one video with that thing, and you're dumping it already? 
I did make videos but never uploaded them. Plus I have monies lying around.

Nah. 550D Is for me
It doesn't support remote capture though. I would recommend the Canon EOS 50D. Almost just as good and it supports remote capture
