I just earned some cash and I am planning on investing in two lamps, but I'm not sure which one to buy. What is the best type of lamp to buy: a goose neck or a posable lamp like the one from the Pixar logo?
goose neck, better angles
Goose necked lamps will allow you to have any angle, but start to droop over time.
Pixar lamps are really stable, but can't do as many angles.
Personoly, i use the pixar lamp. 
you can also easily tape down the gooseneck lamp, then it will stay very stable
I use two goosenecks
Okay, so definitely two goose necks. Is there any particular model that is the best?
