I recall being able to delete your own posts if you didn't want them. Is that a mod-only thing now, or has it just simply been removed?
I can't do it either.
Well know that's gone from normal users, maybe they'll make more intelligent posts next time.
It's happening to me too. At least we can edit our posts.

Yep, the problem was that people were deleting posts that had been replied to, this will prevent that. If you want to take back something you just posted before it gets any replies, you can always edit it. But normally, yeah, think before you post.
I can still delete my posts. Am I just special?

Luckily, my delete button is still here, so if I ever screw up so badly, and everyone turns against me, I can delete my posts, along with everyone else's!

I'm not sure if I get it, because couldn't someone just edit their post and delete all of the words so that it's just a blank post? That would do the same exact thing as having a post deleted. Can someone clear me up on this?
If you edit your post after the fact, there's an "edited by..." note so it's clear you've removed something that was there. If somebody quotes you, they'll look like they're making something up if you delete your embarrassing post, but if you just edit it to remove something you want to take back you're getting to take it back but not to the point of making for a confusing situation.
