Topic: Quickcam 4000...

does anyone use the logitch QC 4000? i use it and its really grainy, but when i see films that used that camera, they are not grainy. Ive adjusted lighting, light exposure, gain... etc. nothing works. Any ideas what might problem be??

Your films on your you tube account do not seem grainy.

Could you post a screen shot of what you mean, and maybe a screenshot of your settings?

The Quickcam 4000 as a model is pretty old and has been out of production for a couple of years; the webcam you have has probably deteriorated during the last couple of years. This adds to the problem of graininess.

On top of that, what is your lighting setup? Sometimes when I set up my lighting, it feels like there is a lot of light, but then when I turn on my webcam it turns out that the lamps are way too far away (or otherwise simply too dim) to provide the amount of lighting needed.

I use logitch , but I don't think it's  called  logitch 4000. mini/confused

There's many different Logitech Webcamera's. mini/wink

If you're having too much light, on the same spot it would create the grainy effect. Also by having the light directly to the set.
Test how many pixels your camera is on, and
take the exposure a little down.

May we see a picture, please?
If it's the grainy effect, I belive it is.. It should be quite easy to get hand on.
