Re: What style do you animate in?

This is a 'What style do you animate in?' thread, rather than a 'What style do you make your movies in?' thread...

Re: What style do you animate in?

I usually animate in a cartoon-like fashion. My animation is like a mix between Bodvill, FancyPants and, and a little pinch of KG.

I do not care about your opinion, unless it has to do with it needing more ponies.

Re: What style do you animate in?

Comedy, randosity (not a real word, just something for being random), mystery, horror, action. Too many.

Re: What style do you animate in?

maybe funny but short random but with some meaning. i just base my films off personal experiences so realistic maybe?

As a few people have said before, silents429, please STOP bumping threads. We don't want the first page of the forums to be cluttered with old post and bump the new threads back, making it less likely for them to be answered.

Okay, can you and the other 'few people' stop acting like the forum police. Speaking as a moderator I will tell you this now. There is nothing in the rules that say bumping is wrong. Nothing. All posts will be treated equally. If someone has something interesting to say in a discussion in a 1 hour old thread or a 1 year old thread then there is nothing wrong with that. Conversely if someone wants to spam a new thread or a really old thread then the post will be deleted as spam. All post are equal. Silent has done nothing wrong so I want everyone to stop acting like the police force and telling people to stop adding to the discussion. You are not this forums moderation staff and it's also not your job to make up any rules. If you see a post that you feel is breaking the rules then use the report button and let us moderators decide whether it's bad or not. Don't derail threads by complaining which is bad for everyone.  /end of discussion.

As for the style I animate in. I go for surreal look in my films. Things are grounded in the real world first but then I usually like to ignore the rules of reality and just go crazy. It suits me but it's a habit I should break from as it's impossible for me to do anything that is actually good in the traditional sense. Something which I'd like to make sometime.

Re: What style do you animate in?

I really don't have a describable style. I just watch how others animate mini/shifty  and then do......Something.

Re: What style do you animate in?

That's a brilliant way to start though. I remember doing tests when I copied Buxton and Jay Silvers stuff.

Re: What style do you animate in?

I animate in the mood I am in.

Happy: Cartoony
Glum: Smoothly
Angry: Fast and furiously

I don't really have a style.

Re: What style do you animate in?

I don't animate at all. I just get the minifigs to get off their fat asses and do the moving themselves.

That's a lot the same with me.
Happy = Cartooney
Sad = Lifelike
Mad = I tend to stay away from animating
Energetic = Either Cartooney or LifeLike

And I animate lots of styles, depending on the film.

If any of you have seen the way filmyguy animates, with the smooth ease in ease out pattern, I SORT of animate like that.  mini/blankexpression
