Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I still find the setup to be a little awkward. Maybe move the teacher's desk to the opposite side of the room.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Yeah, I kinda know what you mean. Great idea for a modification!

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Shouldn't the students be facing the teacher?

Anyway, it's really good!

mini/smile

If you want to add loads of detail you could add some fire extinguishers or something like that.

But it doesn't need it, it's good.

Oh, and about the blackboard thing, I just thing it should be flat against the wall, it just reminds me of a TV like that... mini/tongue

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Okay, thanks for all of the input guys! I've now added fire extinguishers and made the blackboard flat against the wall. My only concern is how expensive the set will be: $283.35. Is this an accurate number, because I'm not sure I can pay that much. mini/eek

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Cut it down!

Cut everything you have in your LEGO Box out. Details you won't see (that much) like the the roof. It has quite alot of unnecesarry details.
Make sure the floor is made out of the biggest objects you can find; same with the roof.
The street outside, could easily be made (More simple) out of the LEGO you can find in your box.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I'm going to need almost all of the pieces I used in this set. I also did use the biggest pieces I could for the floor and everything else. All of the other pieces you won't see much I'll probably use in a different scene. I found out that my set has 991 pieces, and I've bought sets of that size for only $100. mini/confused

I know, not so good. First MOC I've ever made. What do you think?

I do not care about your opinion, unless it has to do with it needing more ponies.

Here is my cliff set for a suicide short.http://i376.photobucket.com/albums/oo202/NickeyPark/LDDScreenShot1-1.png

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

A... a What!

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

It's nice but, making shorts about suicide isn't the smartest move ever. I've built a massive chopper. When more feedback comes I'll post it.

I didn't like the waterfall

I have to agree with roRyL here, the waterfall looks kinda like it's made of shaving cream.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

The light and dark blue combination is pretty cool.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

The waterfall doesnt look very good i dont think... Also, a movie about suicide seems kinda... I dont even know of a good adjective to use here...

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Meh, i'm no good at making waterfalls anyway, it was an experiment to see how good I would be at making water. And what I meant about suicide is a suicide fail.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I don't think any brickfilmer has ever been able to make a good looking waterfall. And suicide, really? Even if it is a fail, suicide is not a laughing matter. Anyone who is that depressed that they want to kill themselves is not funny. I know from personel experiences! mini/madhead

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

@Ark11
Golego did an amazing waterfall in "In Deep Royal Water".
Also, you can make a good looking waterfall from Strategists13´s. Just put light blue round 1x1 Studs on the water.

I won´t judge the suicide fail thing; just think of it and think "Would that be a great/horrible film?".
