Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Thanks filmyguy mini/smile
I loved GreenScreeners entry so he deserves it.
Your turn to post a theme GS mini/smile

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Alright the new theme is...

Destruction

Sorry that was a bad idea. How about...

Dream

Michael Bay?

No thanks.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Ugh. I'm really disappointed.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

I could have done destruction...
I might still have a shot at the new one though.

I'm back. Possibly.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

I would have entered in Destruction but nooo.

I'm still entering. mini/tongue

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

I have quite a few. I was experimenting with angles an ideas. They're not that good, but I just want to go with something more simple this time because nobody seems to appreciate my work.

First Image: Focus on Man with Gun

Second Image: Man being aimed at focused

Third Image: Different point of view

Next Idea:

If you don't understand, the the first one is

Spoiler (click to read)

A guy is protesting the destruction of the forests and the man in charge is threatening him.

For the second one:

Spoiler (click to read)

A guy is simply looking upon the destruction of the forest and pitying those responsible.

I'd like feedback, even if they're not that good.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Never do what you did in the first one unless you're about to follow it up with a focus push - focusing on something on the edge of the frame never looks very nice.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Should I change it back to the destruction theme? It sounds like some people still liked it and Splash also already made his entry.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

I'm willing to dlete mine. They suck. I don't really like the theme to be honest.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

The theme of dream is better.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

That's very clever, but remember that you're meant to be able to recreate this in a real movie - could you do that?

Hmm, maybe this way. mini/tongue

Really bad effect of the black and white on the first one.

Persist.
