Scary Movie 3
This is just hilarious.

Really?
Nah, I'm just screwing with you, I'm gonna kill ya."

Superhero Movie

Silliness from beginning to end.

3/5 extra points though for making me laugh a lot

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Brilliant, I really liked it. The acting was very good, especially Jack Nicholson. A very enjoyable film.

Blade Runner: The Director's Cut

Wauw... just... just a weat dream for every Sci Fi fan, do I need to say more?

New Nightmare

Wes Craven back in directing the (sorta) final freddy movie, I felth that this one was sorta a sequel to the first film, it was weird to see Robert Englund playing himself, I just wished that he would be killed by freddy, it would have been ironic and hysterical.
Freddy looks badass in and new in this film, but he doesn't kill that much. he kills 4 people in this movie from wich we see only 2 kills. I just wished he killed some more, the last kill he did was really awesome. and when he fights... nancy? and her son, he totally gets his ass kicked by a girl and a 6 year old kid... lame... he should have been torturing them or something!!!!
Wes Craven has this classic horror cheese factor and cliché's troughout his 90' films (see the scream films). And at the same time it's sorta kids friendly.
btw: could the kid character be any more annoying and cliché?
Seriously, the kid did really f****d up sometimes and the mother is like.... (gives hug)
I would slap my kid
I'm glad that Wes Craven (sorta) did the final film, but he still could have done better

The Fantastic Mr. Fox

Spectacular stop-motion animation, awesome voice acting, a funny and well-written script (though perhaps a little too facetious at times for its own good), and great music. If you'll excuse the terrible joke, it was...fantastic (*ba dum chh*).

North Country

Wow, after seeing that I feel like my genders a real jerk, if you know what I mean. Incredible acting by the whole entire cast, everyone's performance really stood out. This is the first controversial movie I've seen Charlize Theron in, and she did a really impressive job. Really good film making too, I was really surprised when I heard that this was directed by the one who directed "Whale Rider". Didn't really think too much of that movie. mini/tongue
Anyways, I like a good honest film, which this definitely was.

Shutter Island

Without giving too much away, the movie all around great, the characters feel real and the way they interact is real. However, in the last 30 minutes, you're in for a wild surprising ride.

Ultimate Wave Tahiti: 3D
I was expecting more surfing and less educational stuff, but I really shouldn't have considering it was showing at the California Science Center. It was pretty interesting, but during the 45 minute runtime it really just outlines how swells work and showed a little bit of surfing and a ton of WE NEED TO SAVE THE EARTH stuff.  That's all well and good, but I wanted more surfing.

Also, we had really really lame-looking 3d glasses.  Far worse than the ray-ban type stuff at the Avatar showings.

Percy Jackson and the Awful Characters: Something I Really Didn't Care About
Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief was probably the worst movie ever made.
So many things were so very bad about this film.  The characters were awful and one-dimensional.  The black half- goat character was clearly only for comic relief, yet had terrible jokes.  The "story" was ridiculous and rushed.  THere were references to greek mythology, but no explanations of the myths.  After a scene where they get high for 5 days in vegas, they figure out that it was the lair of the Lotus eaters.  I, let alone the 5-year-olds this film HAD to be aimed at, do not know what the !@#$ a lotus eater is.  THis happened several times, where there was no explanation and the characters just go along with the friggin' ridiculous situations...

I didn't know they made movies this bad.

The Hurt Locker
Wow. Really good film.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Hannibal

This is the only film in a while that has managed to actually freak me out a little, though it's a good film to watch.

Although it was a great film, I found the ending to be quite predictable.

For some, perhaps, but I never thought that the point of the movie was the final reveal, but the emotional journey leading up to it.

Night of the Hunter

Very good movie. Robert Mitchum was excellent as Harry Powell, he definitely played a very menacing villain. The set design and lighting were also very effective; I really liked the scene in the basement especially, the design of the stairs leading down gave a very claustrophobic and tunnel-like feel. The scene on the river is also particularly haunting.

War of the World (remake)
Probebly the lowest point in Speilbergs career, but still an alright movie. CGI was incredible. Story was alright. Acting was good. I give it a 7/10.

P.S Mindgame, your avatar is awesome! mini/bigsmile

Jeepers Creepers 2
There's something about low-budget horror flicks that I find quite enjoyable. The final bit was pretty good, too. But all in all, it was still a pretty bad movie. I can see why it was on at two o'clock at night.

The Big Lebowski
I can't believe I hadn't already seen this.

The Men Who Stare At Goats
Lawl.

I love this film, me and my dad watch it.

Behind Enemy Lines

They really can't act when it comes to being shot. Those are bullets, not electricity.

Braveheart

Not bad, the acting was pretty good, but some parts I just didn't like.
