Wargames (1983)
It was a pretty good movie for almost 30 Years Ago.
The computer creeped me out...reminded me of a mixture between Eddie the Shipboard Computer, GLaDOS and HAL 9000.

Dogville
Really sad, but to long for me.
Evil Dead
I still just love this film...
Schindler's List
Really moving, although I should see it again cause I didn't pay much attention with moments.
The Prestige
This might be my favoriet Christopher Nolan film.
The Mummy (1931)
I enjoyed this one way more than Frankenstein, Boris Karloff is great as the mummy, that shot of his face scares the sh*t out of me.
Here is my top 4 of the first 4 universal classic horror films
1: The Wolfman = The creepy atmopshere captured me, and the great acting to, Lon Chaney Jr FTW!
2: The Mummy = I love the mood and style in this film, and Boris Karloff as the Mummy of course.
3: Dracula = Bela Lugosi is the only good thing in this film, best Dracula actor ever.
4: Frankenstein = Wasn't as good as I expected, it was just... very silly...
Creature from the black lagoon is my favourite
#1: Macally Caulkin was taking drugs at the time.
Well of course I.....WHAT!?
Michael Jacksons 'This Is It'
WARNING: The following revieiw is 90% biased. I am also well aware that by talking about this film, I am removing all credibility I may have as a critic, or even a human being. I am sure even more people will scoff at subsequent 'Avatar' rants, saying "This is the person who liked the Michael Jackson Movie"
First off, this is not a movie. This is not a documentry. This is not a concert movie. Its a critics nightmare, but the fact that this movie, before you have even placed it into your DVD player, is unlike anything you have ever seen before is a mere hint of what it to come.
What is also amazing is that all doubt regarding this 'movie' is removed from your mind within the first song. Its not like 'Moonwalker' or some of his other works which paint MJ as some kind of god, Jesus, or prophet. Its not a poor attempt to cash in on Michaels death (THAT was the companion Albums job) and best of all, it does NOT star a skeletal drug addict who can no longer sing and dance. As soon as Michael performs, you will notice the enormous amount of energy that he posseses and emenates all around him, and it reminds us why we all used to like him so much.
Sure, he's not singing and dancing as much as he used to, but he is merely rehearsing - mapping out the moves rather than executing them. And as he constantly reminds the crew, he's saving his voice for the final thing (though he occasionally sqeezes out some amazing notes). And I must say, for 50, he looks amazing. I only wish I had as much energy when I'm his age.
Its not a movie, its an experience and a joy to watch. But looking at the spectacle that is so ironically called 'This Is It', it makes you feel sad that no-one ever saw the completed product, and it makes you feel even sadder than Michael couldnt make it, when he is visibly looking forward to being back on stage.

Serenity
It's really a shame this didn't do so well. This and the TV show are some of the best Sci-fi I've seen in a long time.

Yes indeed, indeed it's a very good movie for it's age.

Probably one of the ugliest movie I've ever seen, but the story and the intense film making made up for all the grossness. It's funny, because I've been told pretty much everything that happens at the end of this movie, and I was still at the very edge of my seat at the end. Not sure if the ending really suited my liking too much, it just didn't seem that it was going to end the way it did. And the other thing that kept me from enjoying the movie was the disc we rented kept skipping scenes. Never again shall I rent movies, never again.
4/5
The Bourne Identity
First time viewing. It was great, I'm really looking forward to seeing the next ones. Matt Damon is the man.
I enjoyed the story a lot, and I'm glad because you don't usually get good stories in action movies.
The only thing that was never quite resolved for me (maybe I wasn't paying attention) was, how did he lose his memory?
4/5
He was brainwashed
I think that's it. Haven't seen it in a while.
The Prestige
Intriguing, disturbing, scary, confusing... Absolutely captivating.
An amazing film that will have you at the edge of your seat. And when the film finally ends, you'll beg for more.
once again, amazing. The acting was terrific, awesome special effects, a terrific plot, and a pretty Sh
cking ending.

District 9
That was absolutely amazing. Everything in this movie is perfect (especially on a relatively modest $30million budget), with I-can't-believe-it's-not-real CGI and fantastic performances by the cast. Maybe the exploding people were a step too far, but the film was gruesome enough anyway so it's forgiven. Even towards the end where the plot became more generic (good guys vs bad guys) it managed to hold my interest right up to the very end.
I give this movie five out of five prawns.

The Bourne Trilogy is one of my favorites.

He had amnesia when he was found in the ocean in the beginning.
Beauty and the Beast
I've been wanting to watch this ever since Up got it's nomination for Best Film, and I only just got around to it last night. I only just realized upon this viewing, how much of an idiot/jerk Gaston is. Anyone consider that he rallies up a group of villagers to go kill the Beast, which, if they had thought about it for just a minute, has probably been there for years without attacking them, so he doesn't pose any viable threat, yet they attack him anyway. I guess fear was also a contributing factor.
Anyway, it was a great film, I'd say; it definitely is best out of the other films Disney released in that era, despite how much I liked The Lion King.
True dat.

District 9
Something about the anything-goes camera work/editing style was sort of off-putting to me. I mean, you'd have a documentary-style handheld shot followed by a character's POV followed by a stabilized over-the-shoulder shot followed by a shot from a security camera followed by an overhead copter shot. It's like Neil Blomkamp has this idea that the more unconnected variety you can get in terms of shot styles, the better.
I mean, maybe he's right. People did seem to go ga-ga over it. I just felt like it somehow distanced the film from having much emotional complexity, leaving the audience with a sensory-overload kind of mixed-up feeling that the music tried to tie into something emotionally coherent.

Neither do I, because I saw it during school and they didn't bother to tell us what it's called. Anyway,
It should have been called "3 siblings are sent away from the city to country in WWII: The Seizure Edition."
