Ah, A. That reminds me of the good, ol' days.
Anyways, I haven't played ''Roblox'' before, but all that I've heard untill now, makes it sound like Garry's Mod.
And if you don't know Garry's Mod, here's a fast review.
Garry's Mod, is a modefication, for everything under Valve's products.
That means, if you buy I.E Counter Strike: Source, You can use the props, that followed with it.
So basically; if a sink followed Counter Strike, it would get compressed into Garry's Mod, where you can use it.
You can do really everything in Garry's Mod, if you have enough 'skills' to use it.
Make robot's, that'll explode, if you touch them, elevators, rockets, houses etc.etc.
But: you need to have the 'Source-Engine', to tun Garry's Mod.
The Source-Engine should follow: Half Life 2, Counter Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source.
I would really reccoment the game, but it does cost money.
And it does fill quite alot on your computer.
I would also strongly reccoment watching a few tutorials, before starting everything up.
Watch a Great tutorial of basics here
Also remember, read all the requrements for Garry's Mod, before buying and/or installing.
Garry's Mod has 2 very simple maps following it. One just grass, all the map along, and one with a few buildings. The maps that followed the games, that you bought of Steam (Only Valve products) could get used in Garry's Mod.
Garry's Mod9, is the old free version of the game, which is rather bad, compared to Garry's Mod10, which I was just reviewed.

edit: And of couse, it's online too, so you can build with your friends, and players around the world!
