They can be your own custom effects or effects that you recently discoverd that are awesome. You can also post requests for effects that you don't know how to do, so that other talented filmakers can help you!

Using a red Expo scented marker is very accurate for gunshot wounds. And if you have a black one as well, you can ever make it darker.
We have a question: Is there any free program that has video manipulation (like at the beginning of the 2008 BIM Awards video when they had all those movies moving about)? We wanted to do that effect, but we don't have the software to do it! Is there any free software that does this?

I don't think there is any free software to do this, but I'm pretty sure you can do this effect in Final Cut Express or Final Cut Pro. Final Cut Express costs $200, though, so that kind of ruins everything. It's a great software, that's why it costs so much. Also, it's only for Mac users. I don't actually know for sure if you could get a free trial of that, but you could check if you have a Mac. If there is a free software to do that, I don't know about it...Sorry!
