Also, are you getting this confused with the new Youtube design? That was sent out ages ago.
I know that the beta channels are final, and that you-tube has gone through renovations but this is MAJOR, a complete renovation of the video browsing system. Mindgame's little banner is now 1/4 of it's original size.. And i got the message today so it couldn't have been ages ago.
I'll move this to the youtube thread if need be.

What are the benefits of a youtube partner? We might send in an application. We have 500,000+ upload views, and over 300 subscribers. Do you think this is enough? And once again, what are the benefits?
The main one is money, and a lot of your videos get featured. You'll also find yourself with a greater number of viewers.

SIGN UP NOW!!! You can make money by putting ads in your videos! You also are aloud to post banners and stuff.
BuilderBrothers, almost all of that 500,000 is in a single video, so I would probably wait until I had a bit more consistentcy until I applied if I were you.

We were thinking about that. Also, if you have youtube partnership, can you choose whether or not to have adds with your videos, or are they always on?
Speaking of youtube, does anyone here know where I can download an MP4 of that "DAAAAAAAHHH" with lava shooting out of some hole in the ground thing that almost every youtube poop uses?

It's only the ones you choose.
What are the benefits of a youtube partner?
You get adverts on your (copyright-free) videos and you get a little bit of money every time someone clicks on an advert and every hundred times someone looks at an advert.
Plus you get you pimp out your channel a bit more. As you can see, you get a banner at the top, an extra image space on the left and a few extra information boxes.
Basically, a partner is a good thing to be.
