Ok so, I am hopefully getting an adobe package of software (student prices FTW). Originally I was going to get Web Premium, but I have looked into others and found Design Premium. Now, Design Premium is £30 more expensive (student price), so I don't mind about that. But the thing is, there are minor differences:

They both have all of the same programs except from these:

Web Premium has Soundbooth, and Contribute.

Design Premium has InDesign.

I want to obviously be able to photo edit, make websites and all of the many other various things possible in this powerful series of software.
But, I'm not sure whether InDesign is worth getting. Bearing in mind that I would already get Illustrator, Photoshop Extended, Fireworks. But I know that InDesign is good for layouts etc, but what makes it different from fireworks?
Also, I don't really care about sound editing, and I'm pretty sure that Contribute is more for schools, so I'm not incredibly interested in that either. So I'm wondering whether it's worth sacraficing 2 programs and an extra £30 for InDesign. (On top of everything else).

Also, could someone please explain to me this:

I know that photoshop is photo manipulation/editing blah blah.
I have used Fireworks at school and from what I've seen it's sort of a more advanced paint (lol), but I know that it's good for web layouts etc.
But I don't have a clue what the differences are between those ^, Illustrator (sorry for possible incorrect spelling), and InDesign. What I mean is what do Illustrator and InDesign do that the others can't.

And plainly... what the hell is illustrator anyways
