Topic: Anyone interested in helping me out? (University Research Project)

So I'm about to start the practical side of my course's research module, in which I had to produce a piece of 3D/art/whatever's appropriate every two weeks that explores my chosen topic and present it to a group. Now, for this to work properly and allow me to draw some kind of conclusion, I need a group of at least 10 volunteers who would be willing to do a survey/questionnaire/focus group interview thingy every couple of weeks (still working on how to do this over the internet - don't worry, I'm not going to interrogate you).

My research is 'believability and narrative in virtual environments', and since this covers sets as well as video games, you guys were the first I thought of as the topic might be of some interest (particularly if any of you are more interested in sets than animation).

Prior warning, I have to produce six of these "artefacts" (sadly it's not as cool as it sounds), so it's going to take roughly three months to finish the whole project.

Thanks in advance. mini/smile

PS: General questionnaires are likely to sprung on the chat if there's a lot of you in. These will mainly be made up of ticky boxes.

I would gladly help!

Re: Anyone interested in helping me out? (University Research Project)

Question: does it have to be the same group of people for entire duration? Or do you simply need feedback from ten random people for each artefact?

Presumably you need to show the artefact to the people answering the questions and since you're asking on the internet, they don't have to personally see the artefact, photos/videos should suffice, right?

I'd just email all the volunteers the questionnaire and either a link or photos. Ask the volunteers to send you their emails and just keep a list of fifteen or so to send out so that if people drop out you have spares to fall back on.

Smile and say hello to people. It costs you nothing and can brighten their day.

Re: Anyone interested in helping me out? (University Research Project)

Not necessarily the same group, and I don't think it really matters if it's the same people or not so long as there's at least ten people giving the feedback. The artefacts are all digital anyway since it's a multimedia course, so what images and videos there are will be the actual presented artefact. I was thinking along the same lines with getting a list of emails.

Thanks to everyone who's volunteered. mini/smile Could you please send me your emails via PM?

I can do a survey if you need another.
I need to do one for Commercial - ethics class myself

Re: Anyone interested in helping me out? (University Research Project)

Okay, I'm still waiting on some people's email addresses. Could you please PM them to me?

Also, could someone tell me how to get email notifications for my PMs? It took a while to realise I'd gotten any before.

I didn't want to double-post, but I'm still waiting on several email addresses. Thankfully most of you have forum email links, so I can use those, but as you haven't, Olsonstudios, I really need a PM from you.

The first questionnaire will be ready either today or tomorrow, and I'll need responses by Sunday at the latest.
