I just bought a Powershot S5IS. When I hooked it up to my computer it immediately went to a play back mode (like where you see the pictures but cant take any.)  So then I clicked on istopmotion.  When I clicked the take a frame button it opened the lens and took a picture.  This would be fine except then I can't focus the camera or put it in super macro mode.  Does anyone know how to have the camera in a state in which it can take pictures while plugged into my Mac?  The camera was expensive and if I have to return it my Dad will lose 100 dollars!  So I will take any suggestions!:(
