Topic: Umm, does this normally happen?

I haven't bought a LEGO set in quite some time. But recently I'm starting to notice that a lot of pieces (from pre 2006 or so) are starting to crack. I have a bunch of minifigs that from the wrist area and up the arm is cracking, the short side of bricks are crack from the bottom up, and on the side of torsos are cracking.
Has this been happening to any of you? And can LEGO do anything about it?

Re: Umm, does this normally happen?

Yes, it does happen to me, but only on minifig aroms and torsos.

Re: Umm, does this normally happen?

i have pre-1990 bricks and none of my bricks have cracked...... tons of my minifigs, all ages are cracking at the wrists and in the armpits, i have noticed that it happens more often when you take the arm off.

Hmm, that's odd, there's only two figures that I've taken the arms off of, and those two are fine mini/confused

Re: Umm, does this normally happen?

Yeah, some of my minifigures also have cracks going from the armpits down to the pants. Besides the occansional brick that gets stepped on, all my bricks are fine!

It is better to be silent and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

Re: Umm, does this normally happen?

Do any of you guys havr the old "Lego soccer" sets, it ruins every minifigs feet if you put them on and play with them. The bottoms of the feet gets stretched and they will not "stick" to bricks and baseplates

I have wrecked my Lego jango fett in the armpits and feet, now it's resale value is way lower compared to new ($20+) this sucks mini/sad

If they got played with a lot, it's understandable. But short of taking to them with superglue, there's nothing you can do.
