Topic: Sun rise/sunset Lighting?

Do you know how to make a sunrise or sunset lighting effect with lights?
The lighting should be orange... sort of.
Thanks,

Re: Sun rise/sunset Lighting?

Just make an orange overlay to it, or if you really need to use lamps, get a transparent orange material and put over them!

But doesn't turning putting the white balance above zero cause some light flicker? I heard that you should always turn off the white balance to avoid light change.

you just don't need to put it on automatic, that's all.

Yeah, but that makes everything orange, even the stuff that wouldn't normally be hit by the orange light.

Orange gels or even trans-orange bricks are the way to go.

Re: Sun rise/sunset Lighting?

I only want the background orange and the minifig and furniture black.

Re: Sun rise/sunset Lighting?

Okay, your gonna need one or two lamps. i have come up with two therories. theory 1- if you want the background orange and the foreground black, you need to make sure there is absolutley no light reaching the forground from behind the camera. Then stick a peice of orange card behind the foreground and light from behind the card. Make sure the light is harsh.

theory2: use a greenscreen.

Re: Sun rise/sunset Lighting?

Hi there, what you just did, is called bumping, this thread is a 2 month old thread which isn't important anymore.
Please people, use your eyes...

Re: Sun rise/sunset Lighting?

I don't see anything wrong with bumping if its useful information added to an unanswered thread......

Re: Sun rise/sunset Lighting?

If anyone cares, why isn't the thread active then? mini/tongue

T.G-Tom's right Rsteen.
I've already did this anyways.
There's no point of extra info if I already fixed it.

TBH though Kriz didn't know you didn't need help any more so you can't blame him.

Suppose.
Now let this topic slowly rot away again.
