Topic: New (Slightly more original) Community Project UP AND RUNNING!.
Okay, so,
There's alot of Community Projects scattered around the place.
One has succeeded. One.
So, I have come up with an idea to clean up this mess.
I am thinking of putting a promotional video up on YouTube.
My idea is to make a small clip about 5-10 seconds long, and to get other animators finish the film.
I know you're think "Waste of time, BertL's doing it."
But I am going to bring the project to the people!
Instead of setting up a thread and people volunteering to do it,
I will make a promotional video explaining the details of the project.
In this video, I will post my short scene at the end.
Anybody can make a video completing the next scene.
I will give a specific point of the film and ask people to begin animating.
Example: In my short scene, a man will crash and fall of a motor bike. This scene will be titled the "Beginning".
When a person completes the next scene, I will tell them to post it as a video response.
Eventually I will post a comment saying "STOP ANIMATING". When I post that, the specific scene (Beginning) will end.
I will then get other animators, commenter's, subscribers and any one else to vote which scene was the best.
They will post their vote on my promotional video. Again, I will eventually say "VOTING HAS ENDED"
After this I will add in the winning scene. This will repeat until the film has finished. After the film is done, I will post it on my channel and
offer each animator that animated a part in the film a small prize.
So what do you think?
I'm not a n00b, and I feel a strong sense of responsibility from this.
Please give your verdict.
Kind Regards,
-Kevin
