Topic: Resulotion Problem

Hi. My LQCP9K has been giving me a awful quality lately even when I set it on the highest resolutions (ex.). Could it be the lighting? I even boosted the quality in photoshop to make it better, but no luck. I know that Little Brick and VN use this camera and the quality is perfect. How do they do it?

I do not care about your opinion, unless it has to do with it needing more ponies.

Re: Resulotion Problem

dish some more lights onto the set, lighting affects the camera quality a lot.

Re: Resulotion Problem

Thats a good idea. mini/smile  I'll get another lamp. Any other ways that I can do it virtually, or something?

Re: Resulotion Problem

No, your light can't be artificial or it wouldn't achieve the same effect.

Re: Resulotion Problem

Don't forget that this "super high resolution" is interpolated: basically, the webcam takes a picture at a 2MP size, and then softwrae enlarges it to 8MP or something like that. It's better to stick to the maximum uninterpolated resolution.

Re: Resulotion Problem

Oh. Well that might be the reason. mini/rolleyes  What should I use then?

Re: Resulotion Problem

Whatever is the native maximum resolution of the webcam; in the QCP9k's case that's something like 1600x1200 if I'm correct.

Re: Resulotion Problem

It is probably to do with lighting and are you controlling the settings via the quickcam interface
