Just to be clear on all of this: can you use sets and story ideas made before the contest starts? If I had a set of a street I made myself before the contest started, or if I had a script or storyboard made beforehand, could I use it, as long as I didn't actually capture any frames yet?
You can't make a script before you now the theme this year....
Sets you have already built is surely ok, but you must have the mod element in it(which is highly unlikely).

Yes you can. It kind of takes the point away to an extent, but certainly yes.
Ok then. I might only pre-make a detailed set, than put the mod elements into it when the info is released.
It's probably inevitable that some people will use story ideas that they had beforehand, but I think it's reasonable not to start the script until the contest starts.

Hold the phone! Wasn't the original date the 6th/7th? When did it get changed? 
It's been January 2nd/3rd since the contest was officially announced; we tossed around a few possible dates in chat when we were working out the details and it's possible the 6th/7th was mentioned in your presence as a possible time. Really though, my recollection is that we settled on the 2nd/3rd fairly early on and I told people that was the likely date for weeks in advance of the official announcement.
This will be my first THAC, though, I have to wake up at 4:00 flippin o'clock to read the rules....gah.....I don't think my dad will allow me to do that....man....
Yesterday I was asked: "Do you still do lego films?"
My response:"Well I don't have time, but if there would be another THAC, I definitely would give it a try!"
Just because of that, I checked and YES! HELLYEAH! THAC 7! How cool, I love this event!

Though I wish we got to start at around 7:00am cause I'm usually sent off to bed at around 1 or 2ish D:

Also, I still play your game Loops of Zen almost daily. It's the best game EVER.
That game saved me from dying of boredom whilst on Work Experience. I am eternally greatful ahnt!
Anyways, I am torn between two ideas:
1. A Mr Socially Impaired Halloween Special (Starring Arnold Schwarzenneger)
OR
2. A Hanukkah Carol (Which will no doubt un-intentionally offend EVERYBODY)
I have loads of MSI episodes planned for when I complete my exams (after which I have nearly three months twiddling my thumbs, so expect loads of new material), but I love the concept of movie which adresses the fact that their has never been a christmas movie about Hanukkah, and why.
I suppose it depends on the theme...

Cool that you all like Loops of Zen,
it was such a great hit in Flash, that I essentially spent the rest or my time doing iPhone development, and no Brickfliming... anyway I might found a way to do both

What is the final decided time and date for the THAC contest? Does it start at 12:00 on the 2nd and end at 12:00 on the 3rd?
