For me. She already has a new DS lite so this one was just sitting in her room.

Re: The Video Game Discussion Topic!

I just got a SNES emulator for my PC.
Oh so much fun...
Does anyone know of some really, I mean really, good games? So far I've got DK country 2 and 3, Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Earthbound. Any more I should add?

Re: The Video Game Discussion Topic!

Has anyone tried looking for Portal in stores recently? I can't find it anywhere (unless you count the Orange Box), and on Amazon it's a whopping $99.99.

Alright, we've decided to go for the PS3. Do you guys have  any suggestions for games? They can't be rated M, the girls have to be dressed at least slightly decent and no sexuality at all.

Uncharted doesnt have any sex or revealing costumes in it at all, and its rated Teen.

The new one does. Sort of. Two cutscenes feature action between Drake and Chloe that toes the line, depending on how conservative you are, but they're brief enough that even if you find them gratuitous, they're easily tolerable. The scene found from 6:04 to 7:27 in this video is by far the worse of the two. The other is just a single offhand comment that would probably go right over the heads of most younger (and for that matter, older) viewers. And both female leads are completely dressed for the whole game. They're even wearing parkas for a third of it.

As far as recommendations: Uncharted 2 is a must-own. I can't stress that highly enough. Even the first Uncharted is a good enough game that it's worth picking up as well, and it's completely devoid of any sexual content. Language is a little much in both, but it's an easily tolerable (and easily remedied) sin.

Edited to add video link.

Language, maybe. Implied zex scenes...nada. It's not that zex is bad, far from it, it's just that it's not appropriate for a guy my age. However, I may look into one or both after I've had a PS3 for awhile and I am a little older.

Edit: On second thought, can you just push like the Start button or the X button to skip cut scenes? If so, I shall definitely look into Uncharted.

Re: The Video Game Discussion Topic!

I have just fallen in love with Fallout 3. I've been playing for almost 4 hours, though it only feels like it's been 10 minutes. Other than a setback, in which I asked my cousin just to talk to people for a bit while I got something to eat, when I got back I found that everyone wanted to kill me until I quit and loaded an earlier stage. I'll get started on Uncharted 2 soon, but I'm gonna get Bioshock and Batman if I can survive through the post-Christmas sales rush. Dad and I went to the local EB games but we couldn't see the store behind the que, so we thought bugger that.

Re: The Video Game Discussion Topic!

hey guys for christmas I got a g-force game, and I know you all will say it's terrible, but since I need to exchange it for another family friendly game, which should I get, lego batman or lego indiana jones?

If your family has younger kids(ages 3-6) get lego batman. They look so cute when they are on evil and kill everyone! Older kids (9 to 13) indy.

Re: The Video Game Discussion Topic!

How.. how many more of those are they churning out? I thought The Sims was good at milking the genre but all these Rock Band and Guitar Hero games are probably getting close to second place.

Re: The Video Game Discussion Topic!

I think Mario's been milked more than any other videogame franchise, granted, it hasn't decreased in quality or enjoyment too much compared to other game lines.

EDIT: I think Final Fantasy should be added - oh yes maggosh, I went there.
