Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Oh, and stop arguing you guys!  This argument is totally POINTLESS!!!  Just forget about it and look at our MOC!

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Yes, Stop it now.
Seeing that the agument is bad indeed, And doesn't seem to go any farther, We'll just stop it here, M,K?

I Will say, that only One And i repeat One Thing is from the Advent calender, Door three.
I Started animating it in June, So could you Please.
I'm just a little bothered by the Uhm.. Well war at the second page.
(And i will point out, That, that  was Totally unnecessary.)

@BuilderBrothers: That looks quite nice, But assuming that you only used one colour.. Looks Great.
It just seems a little dull, without any doors/Lughs outside.
-Jack.
EDIT: Wait.. It was already stopped.. My bad.
And.. Edit@Legobrickstud, I was pointing it out, Assuming other persons also already pointed it out. mini/wink

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

You guys skipped my set *pokes on page 52* But I guess it doesn't matter, since the video is out. mini/XD lol

Into the darkness once more. I walk into the unknown. To a far better life than I've ever known.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Oh, BuilderBrothers and Jack, it already stopped before you said that.

Anyways, for the set: It looked ok, but the corners are only held together by a tiny little bit. Also, the model lacks realism, and I think it was taken directly from MLCad as a jpeg.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Thanks for all your critique you guys!  Here is another one of my CGI creations:

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/BuilderBrothers/MOCs/enterprise_d.bmp

I rendering it in Carrara so that it would look better.  It is the USS Enterprise D from the Star Trek: The Next Generation.  Yet another one of my props for an upcoming film.  Hope you like it!

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

It seems quite Great again, But there aren't enough Details.
And the Proportions doesn't seem to fit mini/wink
Though, It looks Great.
-Jack.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

It is nice, although of course I'd like to see it built with bricks. It could use more detail however.
The proportions are about right, Jack. mini/wink

I'll get a pic of a set from my new movie that I'm working, posted soon.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Quite nice Builderbrothers. The only thing is it seemed a bit to glossy, and the rpoportions were just a bit off. Overall, it's nice (well, almost anything is nice if you have something as good as CARRARA!!! mini/eek )

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Thanks for all the positive feedback!  Oh, and do you think it would be okay to start a thread for just my MOCs?  I have so many I want to show off...

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

You could just post a slideshow.

Sorry for the low picture quality. This is for a WIP right (the same film as my sig) and I want to know anyways I could add a little detail to this.

The picture quality is fine perosnally. The scene reminds me of something out of Road Dahls (hope I didnt butcher that spelling) short story Poison

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I would personally replace that table behind him with a bookcase.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Looks good!  Really like the backround image.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Yeah, that looks really nice. The idea with the bookcase is pretty good, though.

Stoppedmotion: It's Roald Dahl, actually mini/wink

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I made a cargo plane:

More photos on Flickr

I don't know exactly what I will do with it, but I'm thinking something involving greenscreen and explosions.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

As a MOC: That looks great. Especially the engines. Once again, your vehicle building skills never cease to amaze me. mini/smile

As an airplane: It looks like it hangs too low to the ground. And the sweep of the wings seems to be too little. They also just pop right out of the top of the fuselage. Try blending them into the top. (i.e. make the piece above the wing the same color.)

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I attempted to make an airplane once... it failed. It looks great though, I could definitely see an explosion in the near future.

EDIT: As mcoov said, its a little low to the ground for a passenger plane, but that makes it look more like a cargo plane. (not sure if thats what you were going for?)

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

A set I made for Truth.
Nice detail: Euphreana is playing the girl, and Squash is playing that man.
I made this shot right after filming, that's why the girl is in that position.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Those walls are really short..... How will you film with them? mini/confused

Persist.
