THE CHRISTMAS TRUCE OF 1914

THE CHRISTMAS TRUCE OF 1914

This is a World War I stop motion video about the Christmas truce that happened in 1914.

Re: THE CHRISTMAS TRUCE OF 1914

I actually saw a live action film based on this.  I really want to see this but have bandwidth problems at the moment.  Comments will come after the opportunity ot view this.

Nice overall job on the video. However, one thing I could suggest is making the camera little more still. Maybe buy a remote or something. Also, try to not make the clay as visible, it kind of ruins the shot. But I do like your whole "mood" of the animation. Overall, keep up the good work, and I hope I will be seeing more from you! Cheers.

Making brickfilms ever since I figured out how to turn on a camera.

Re: THE CHRISTMAS TRUCE OF 1914

Nice to see a Christmas Truce film up! I saw Joyeux Noel yesterday, which is on the historical truce events.
The animation could use a little bit of tweaking, such as ease in, ease out.
Another small thing that sticks out for me (which doesn't affect the animation) is the historical accuracy of the equipment; both sides had helmets, when the first official commissioned helmets weren't made for another year. Alas, this doesn't affect the animation at all!

Re: THE CHRISTMAS TRUCE OF 1914

I did not know about the helmets mini/sad I would like to be as historically accurate as possible. I will do better next time mini/wink

Re: THE CHRISTMAS TRUCE OF 1914

It is quite well done with an correct animation and the shoots effects are well made with LEGO bricks!
But it will be better if there was christmas or dramatical music!

Re: THE CHRISTMAS TRUCE OF 1914

I kind of liked it without music.  But I expected some dialogue in this one.  I enjoyed it, but whether or not the helmets are historically accurate, they made for great drama.

I was just wondering what was going on at just after 1 minute, in the background on the right?
