Doesn't seem like slapstick to me.

The point of this contest is to convey the theme only through the frame.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

You can't have a caption that tells you exactly what's going on in the frame.

It isn't directly telling you, but that doesn't mean that it isn't telling you.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

I see you have bought the City Minifigure Collection set mini/wink.

My old YouTube is since long ago defunct - now even removed.
Here is my new one.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Looks ok. I see the humor, the cinematography isn't really there though. If the camera were closer up to the minifigs and if the shot was widescreen (please, people, make your frames widescreen) then I think it would look a lot better. Also, I want you to be creative, but I think you more frames should be b/w. mini/wink

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Is that a mis-molded 1x1 round plate?

Neat. Did you get it in a set?

Though, I have to wonder why there is an ant there?

On another note, check these sweet cinematographic shots: Here and and here!

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Why is everybody reverting back to showing the theme in an idiotically brick-in-the-face (no pun intended) way?

filmyguy wrote:

I disagree; widescreen looks good, but only if you use it well. I hate seeing a film where the director has just cropped the shot to look "professional".

The mis-mold was in the Cafe Corner set. I never did end up ordering a replacment. mini/rolleyes
AT94's sets and photographs are great along with builder Alex Eylar who builds fantastic sets then displays outstanding photography.
