No, those were both made in 2010.
No, on youtube, the release date says 2009. On both videos.
Special mention to 0ldScratch for raising the bar for facial animation in 2010.
That is a visual effect, and one notable enough to warrant consideration for a nomination in the category I think.

Oops. You're right. We were thrown off, since both videos were put on BiM in 2010.

FYI, when you suggest a film for a certain category, it ultimately has no effect on the final outcome of what the film will be nominated for (if at all). A long shortlist of films are sent to a large panel of judges who vote on each category.
