Why are you guys scripting before THAC starts. It really takes the fun and challenge away from the competition (even though
most likely you will have to script again because the theme won't fit with it.)

I said have an IDEA, not a script.
The only thing I'm doing before it starts is have a general idea (like 2 guys go to somewhere that has to do with the theme) but nothing else. Making a set would be useless because that would depend on the theme. Even a generic set could wind up unused. What I want to go for is something that makes the judges say "Wow, he did all of that in 24 hours?" I'm thinking lots of scene changes and minimal talking. I animate at 12 fps, so it won't take too long to do.

It depends. Our camera stabilization has been the death of us lately, plus we are working on several big projects throughout this & next year, so we (yes, I said we) are probably not entering this contest (especially when there's a chance Smeags might enter).
I am going to enter I think! It will be my very first THAC and I'm pretty excited!
I can't wait! But I'll probally have to do it in 12-13 hours my parents don't like the idea of being on the computer for 24 hours... 
i hope the theme is something that i can use a gray baseplate with, i hate changing basplates. i need a whole room (not just a desk) to animate. DerTarchin is lucky he has a basement
