Adoring the new update. I agree with ya, Chuppa, 1.2 is the best update so far.

By the way, what difficulty settings do you guys play with? I have it on Hard but am considering going to Normal or something because every time I get a nice place going some creeper shows up and blows everything away. (It doesn't help that I'm playing it hardcore style, meaning that every time I die I quit. Not to be confused with nerdrage style, where every time you die you quit because you get so angry.)

Yeah, because Mojang moved the site to a new server, they have to update the client, too.

Anyways, I'm having a small problem when trying to connect to multiplayer. Whenever I type in the IP address I want, this keeps popping up:

He is absolutely right though. I paid my 10€ back in September for this game and since then there have been 2 big updates. First there was the Halloween update which he never finished (Still no lanterns). Second was this months cool update. But what the !@#$ was he doing between October and January? He added dyes (which were overdue), new trees (the ugliest thing to happen to minecraft since biomes), a new mob, cake, Dispensers and a few tweaks to game play. So basically notch spent 2 months doing nothing.

And i don't know about anyone else but minecraft has been getting worse since autumn. I remember when maps were rendered with beautiful landscapes and snow fell from the sky (if it was a snowy map). Now maps are rendered with deep pits all over the surface and because of biomes there is never any snow. Notch made and killed the best game the world has ever seen. </thread>

Of course, no one pays to use BiM. Just sayin'.

Here's how I see it:
I think Notch is doing a fabulous job right now. Of course there hasn't been that many updates since beta, but think about it. You are part of a beta team. What is a beta team for? To find bugs and report them. What do updates create? Bugs. The bigger the updates, the more bugs, the more time he has to spend debugging than working on new updates. He just finished migrating all of the servers to a new host, and people are still complaining about how there are no updates. The guy is human. He can't make new stuff at anyone's will. He and Mojang don't owe us anything. We paid a mere $15 for this wonderful game, where you can go to the store and buy a crappy Xbox game for 3 times as much and NEVER get any new content out of it. The fact that he is not wasting his millions of dollars on crap still makes this game everlasting.
