Could you make another lot for me possibly?
If you don't mind too much, I'd like to pop in for a chat and a biscuit. I don't mind about having a lot, but if there's one going I'll happily take it. I prefer to work without boundaries, though, and any mines made may connect with each other- that might cause problems if diamonds are found.

My house isn't near a monster spawn but I woke up pre-dawn and a Skeleton was right in front of me. It didn't attack me, but it kept watching me. Is this a glitch or should I move my house?

Monsters spawn at night, no matter where you are, unless you have torches or Jack o' Lanterns placed. They spawn in the absence of light, to be exact. However, if you think the skeleton is glitched, a simple log out/log in process should remove the blighter.
Also, crazyLegofan, it would be a good idea if you haven't done so already to put lots of torches in and around your house.
I've seen people leave there homes darkened and have creepers spawn in there.
So trust me, the more light, the better.
I feel so stupid. I cant sign on to the server it says "Unknown host" though I made sure i typed it correctly.

I do. There isn't a single shadow, and it only happens if I sleep.

That's because if you have an entrance to your house available, a monster will spawn when you wake up.

That's because if you have an entrance to your house available, a monster will spawn when you wake up.
Meaning a door? Because that's my only entrance.
(I am pretty new to minecraft, sorry for the questions.)
Ok, so there is now five open lots, plus a double lot for a community room (entrance to community mine, community rules, chests, furnaces + workbenches). I have expanded the community because of the large number of you who want in. I believe the list of builders goes as follows:

Okay, StudioL30, WelcomeToAwesomeness, and Stoppedmotion get the three available lots, but seeing as there has been a lot of interest, I will extend the area and build a few more lots, DBSarazen, yeah i remember you, gets one when they are ready, and one lot is still up for use, but may be turned into some sort of community room. Probably on of the middle ones, which is currently an edge.
EDIT: just decided I will extend Northward, that means the North west corner (currently) will be the community room, the other two lots will be further north, but haven't been plotted yet.

Usually, the answer to this is to make sure your bed is built at least one block away from the wall. However, as of 1.5, there seems to be a bug where monsters will spawn in your house even if you've done that. My solution for that was to place my bed in the middle of my basement (about 4-7 blocks away from the wall, and 3-4 blocks below ground), so you might try that.
Currently I have 5 lots, and 7 takers. I'm going to see if I can expand, but no promises. The land is surrounded by hills and valleys. Also, the lots are small, only 9x9, so if you are a person of grandeur, I'd skip out on this one, houses have to be small and simple, (but no dirt houses!)
The IP is mczeworld2.dyndns.org, all other information, such as how to get there, is on my previous posts, and it is behind a giant castle. I will try to be on as much as I can, but If I'm not, feel free to take a lot, just keep a sign that says your username, and your lot number.
Also, basements need to be inside lot limits.
A full set of rules will go inside the Community Center when it is done.
Just remember I'm cadenchaoslord on Minecraft.
