Do you have Java installed, because minecraft uses Java to run, so you HAVE to hava Java installed and updated.
Updated and removed older versions of Java. Still same error.

No it shouldn't be a problem with Windows 32. I have both a Vista and XP running 32, and it works on both of them.

so guys, I have this cave that's about 18- 20 blocks down. I can successfully get down there, but my problem seems to be the unexplored part of the cave which is unlit. How would I approach lighting it before being attacked by mobs? I have the resources to make jack o lanterns, if that helps.

RUN. There's no easy way to do it, though I am most likely doing it wrong. I've been blown up several times because of unlit caves... I hate coming across them.

Why would jack-o-lanterns matter? The best course of action would be to light up the cave with torches and snipe all mobs with your bow and arrow.

Yeah, just ensure the cave is well lit after you've wiped them out otherwise Mobs might respwan.
Thanks guys, I lit the place with torches and Jackall Anterns and found out the cave wasn't that extensive.

Yesterday I had to commit suicide in Minecraft to get back to my house. I was lost, terribly, lost.
I bought minecraft yesterday and i cant stop playing it!!! Atm im making a almost floating house on the top of a giant mountain... with a farm!
